Entry from: Iguaçu, Brazil Entry Title: "Magical mystery tour" Entry: "Hi guys.... back again. Absolutly knackered !!! 16 hours on a coach to a place which we can't even pronounce correctly to see cataratas (waterfalls). Well the biggest cataratas in the WORLD.... After arriving at Foz de Iguaçu at 5.00am ( still dark ) we waited in the bus station as we hadn't a clue where to go... Instead of waiting we decided to hike it as close to the falls as we could go ( well we didn't know how far away they were!!!) Stopped to get a map (not to scale) didn't look far to go... International Hostelling ... just the ticket... We walked with our backpacks full for 6hrs!!! 18km up and down hills !!!!! We got to the hostel pukkered out!! In the middle of absolute no where. It was hot and sticky like jungle heat, as we were in the jungle, no time to stop as we were spose to meet kaz's family at the falls. when we got there we got on the tour bus, it began to rain. Not just a little bit mind, but a proper tropical storm. We discovered that in these conditions it does'nt take long for a bus with no windows to fill with water!!! Even in the pouring rain the falls themselves are an impressive sight!! Foz de Iguaçu translates as 'the mighty water' and it wasnt hard to see why ( i like to think that the Foz bit translates ...
